New Build Project for prestigious Volkswagen Car Centre contracted under SBCC with Approx Quantities. Following removal of previous site quantity surveying team IAA were engaged to carry out a full re-measurement of base scope value and cost, identify, evaluate and allocate variations, commercial & contractual correspondence with sub-contractors and clients representative, prepare and negotiate client final account, carry out cost to completion exercise to verify existing projections, preparation of sub-contracts, sub-contract final accounts and research and preparation of claims.

Accordingly, IAA’s primarily role was to commercially tidy up and conclude all contracts and provide a clear analysis on the commercial outcome of the project. Following satisfactory completion of the primary objective the role developed into recovering the project on both a commercial and financial front. Due to the nature and extent of the previous and inherited commercial problems. IAA’s involvement in respect of concluding the final account not only covered traditional submissions for Extensions of Time, Loss and / or Expense and Variations, etc but also included the defence of Adjudications against our client as well as progressing Adjudications on behalf of our client.
