Overview

Design, supply and installation of new CCTV and mirror renewals for the Driver Only Operated system on station platforms in the Strathclyde area under MF/1 (Rev. 3) - Model Form of General Conditions of Contract 1998 Edition.

IAA were employed in November 2005, fifteen months after commencement of a twelve month programme and required to carry out a full interrogation of the contract costs to that date, inclusive of all internal, supplier and sub-contractor costs. It was established that not all elements of the project were covered within projected final costs.

IAA, therefore overhauled the cost report, applied for extensions of time and variations and developed and submitted a prolongation claim and final account.

Sub-contractor accounts also required detailed interrogation as monies had previously been certified to sub-contractors without any correlation between applied and certified amounts. The correct procedures were put in place and final accounts brought to successful conclusions.

The project was eventually completed in May 2007.
