IAA were approached some 6 months after contract award to provide commercial management services to assist in the preparation and evaluation of the structural steelwork remeasurement and the corresponding star rates due an ongoing dispute between the Contractor and Subcontractor as to the proper methodology to be used for the evaluation of the increased and modified workscope.
The weight of the original tendered workscope was 1559 tonnes and the final weight was 1769 tonnes i.e. an increase of only 13.5%, but as a direct result of IAA involvement the value was increased by 100%.
IAA also produced a detailed Adjudication submission on behalf of their Clients which contributed to the successful financial outcome.
